I learned to dive because I wanted to see the wrecks off of the North Carolina Coast. My first Instructor was Chip Holcomb with Aqua Adventures in Nags Head. My first classes were at the OBX Dive Shop. Because of this, my first Open Water dives were wreck dives off the beach in Kill Devil Hills. Chip was an awesome Instructor and has become a great friend.
From that first day, I wanted more and have never to this day stopped learning. My training has taken me all the way through Advanced Trimix and the Prism 2 Rebreather. I also have a great love of Cave Diving and Cave Country is like a home away from home.
I offer scuba classes for every type of diver. Open Water is the entry level course. For those wishing to move up, we offer Advanced Adventure and a number of specialty courses. For those wishing to go outside of the Recreational realms of scuba diving, I also offer Technical courses such as Advanced Nitrox, Deco Procedures, Intro to Tech, and Cavern. All Classes are taught through Blue Dolphin Dive Center and can be taken as group classes or private.
But I find my greatest joy showing people why I love this sport and seeing the look in their eyes when they realize that same love and respect for the water. So let me help you discover the beauty of the underwater world, its inhabitants and its mysteries. Through one on one instruction or family classes we can make this an adventure to remember. Solo diving, once considered technical diving and discouraged by most certification agencies, is now seen by many experienced divers and some certification agencies as an acceptable practice for those divers suitably trained and experienced. Rather than relying on the traditional buddy diving safety system, solo divers should be skilled in self-sufficiency and willing to take responsibility for their own safety while diving.
